Germany lauds Iran feature ‘Road to Perdition’

Iranian movie ‘Road to Perdition’ has grabbed an award at the Best Independents International Film Festival in Germany.

Directed by Yaser Talebi, the movie won the Best Feature Film title at the German event.

The movie narrates the story of two young mechanics that get the chance to own thousands of dollars following an accident.

They can’t decide but they are not aware that the real owner of the money has made his decision long ago.

“The Best Indie Film Festival shows a selection of short films in a summer and a winter film program,” the event’s website read, adding, “The best Independent Films will win the Best Indie Film Award and will be screened in a Best-of-Festival program in … theatres.”

The film festival offers various prizes such as Best Independents Director Award, Best Independents Director of Photography Award, Best Independents Scriptwriter Award, and Best Indie Documentary Award.

The Best Indie Film Festival wrapped up on December 23 in the German city of Karlsruhe.
